Vukani Ubuntu Community Development Projects
Vukani-Ubuntu Community Development projects was established in 1998 as a section 21 non-profit organisation. It has grown from a single idea since its inception, to national network of grass-roots development projects across the country, benefiting historically disadvantaged individuals (HDI) and their communities. Vukani addresses a need for skills-development by unique practical and theoretical training, Poverty-Alleviation through learnerships and Job-Placement and enterprise Development by enabling environment and mentoring to SMME’s (Incubators). Vukani's latest project: The Jobshop Based in eMalahleni Mpumalanga, the project allows artisans the opportunity to acquire knowledge and skills they need to find a job in the manufacturing and mining Industries. The learners are taught Short Courses and Skills Development Training through a series of modular practical and theoretical teachings, while additionally receiving on-site work experience.
