The cost of each workshop is R150.00 per person aside from venue hire, transportation and accommodation. Catering will cost us a further R150.00 per person as we would like to provide refreshments and food at each of these workshops to the women and children in these institutions. Project Estimate Total cost for each event is estimated at R15,000.00 per self defense workshop within the Gauteng area. Outside of Gauteng and South Africa, the cost of flights, transportation and accommodation must be factored in too. The cost of the workshops to the rest of Africa will vary due to the economics of the country. Timeline We currently have 2 workshops per month within South Africa and 1 workshop per month outside of South Africa, to the rest of Africa. We hosted the first workshop with a braai on 23 November at The House Group Shelter for girls and managed to host this event by way of self funding and donations/sponsorship from friends and family. The workshops for 2020 started in February 2020 and we have thus far scheduled 21 workshops within South Africa at various Shelters. Conclusion However for further workshops at various Shelters for women and children we require your sponsorship as this is an integral part of our organization which is also to equip people to Protect and Defend themselves should they be confronted with situations requiring self defense which unfortunately has now become critical due to the rise in Human Trafficking and Gender based Violence. Your assistance by way of donations/sponsorship towards these workshops is highly needed and appreciated and through this will be partnering with us to Saving lives through Awareness and Education and thereby reducing the statistics of Human Trafficking and Gender Based Violence. About us: Awareness for Child Trafficking Africa (ACT Africa) Came from a concept idea that Matthew Mensah created. After many years working with children rescued from Child trafficking and abuse and participating in numerous Campaigns and Awareness Marches for Stop Human trafficking, Hilary Leong & Matthew Mensah thought of creating a structured organization focusing solely on Child trafficking and gender based violence to combat the rise of this evil in not only South Africa but across the whole continent. Matthew Mensah created in 2017 the Continental Stop Trafficking Campaign with the Ministry of Home Affairs SA which success led to the urge of wanting to implement measurement to stop this horrific rise, Our exposure and passion working with victims of these horrendous violent acts in recent years coupled with our experience serving as board members of The Karabo Mokoena Foundation aided in the birth of ACT Africa in August 2019. Our board comprises of 6 members.
