LTN welcomes QAWC!

LTN would like to welcome the QuadPara Association of the Western Cape (QAWC) to our platform!

The QuadPara Association of South Africa (QASA) is the largest national body of and for Quadriplegics and Paraplegics in South Africa and was established in 1978.

The QuadPara Association of the Western Cape (QAWC) established in 1981 by wheelchair users who were frustrated by the lack of supports for individuals with mobility impairments, is now one of six regional affiliates of QASA, and provides services to over 1200 members in the Western Cape region.

QAWC is a public benefit organisation which strives to improve the lives of and fights for the rights of quadriplegics and paraplegics through active lobbying and advocacy, education and training, networking and referrals, creating opportunities for members and guaranteeing the sustainability of such opportunities.

The organisation is governed by a Management Committee of whom 90% must be wheelchair users.
