Meet David.

Meet David.

I met him four years ago, he was drunk and his eyes were a red that told me this wasn't a once off event, but a condition. He wore ragged clothes and looked thin. I was surprised to see him in a savings group because, well, he didn't fit the usual profile of a savings group member. His group didn't last and I lost track of him. Imagine my delight when I met up with him yesterday as I attended the share out of one of our long time groups. We often only visit such groups at share out unless they need us. He had joined the group, stopped drinking, and with the group members' help, managed a perfect savings record this year. It is an absolute privilege to have played a part of David's journey. Oh, and by the way - not that it matters much - but David is an amputee too.
